CATSKILL AQUEDUCT RECONNECTION: WHAT TO EXPECT

Beginning Monday April 10, work will take place to reconnect the Village of Cold Spring’s water supply to the Catskill Aqueduct, making that source available again as a backup supply. The work is projected to continue into mid-July. Work will begin at the Water Treatment Plant on Fishkill Road then proceed along that roadway toward Nelsonville. Valves and potentially some piping will be addressed near LaShinju Road, the Lone Star Trailhead, the Philipstown Highway Garage, and then in the upslope and downslope aqueduct right-of-way between the Highway garage and the intersection of Fishkill Road and Route 301. Traffic delays should be limited, but do please plan accordingly for weekday travel on Fishkill Road.  We thank our neighbors along Fishkill Road for your patience and cooperation as this critical infrastructure work is completed.
