Garbage and Recycling Container Delivery and Yard Debris Updates

Here is some important information and dates for the delivery of Garbage and Recycling containers and the schedule for Yard Debris pick-up.

Garbage and Recycling Containers

The new containers will be delivered on the following dates:

  • Garbage Containers:  Saturday, April 9th
  • Recycling Containers:  Saturday, April 16th

As has been previously communicated, if your garbage and recycling had been picked up by the Village in the past then it will now be picked up by Royal Carting Service.  You will receive a 95 gallon garbage container and 65 gallon recycling container.  Once the new containers are delivered, Royal Carting will only pick up garbage/recycling placed in their containers.

If you find that the containers are too big you will have until May 1st to request a smaller size at no charge.  After May 1st there will be a $25 fee to change the size.  If you have already submitted an order form requesting the smaller size or additional containers then you will receive these on the above scheduled dates.  

The Village is making arrangements to have a dumpster available for residents to dispose of their old garbage cans. Location information and dates will be posted to the Village website (coldspringny.gov) and social media pages once this has been finalized.

Yard Debris Pick Up

Royal Carting will pickup yard debris on the following dates:

  • April 14 and 28
  • May 12 and 26
  • June 9
  • July 14
  • August 11
  • September 15
  • October 13 and 27
  • November 3 and 17

Yard debris should be placed in paper bags and left alongside the trash conatiners.
