October Schedule for Leaf Pick-Up, Village Clean-Up Day and Hazardous Waste Drop-Off

There are two scheduled Lawn & Leaf pick-up days in October plus the Village-Wide Clean Up Day and a county hosted Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day. The schedule is below:

Lawn & Leaf Pick- Up

Thursday October 13^th

Thursday October 27^th

Please remember that all lawn and leaf debris should be left curbside in paper bags or tied in small bundles not to exceed 2 feet. Debris left in plastic bags will not be picked up.

Village-Wide Clean Up Day

Saturday, October 29^th

Royal Carting will be conducting a "Village-Wide Clean Up Day" in Cold Spring. Royal Carting will remove and dispose of bulk waste items. Items should be placed curbside on the evening of October 28^th. Acceptable items include bulk waste items, white goods, automotive parts, tires, and electronics.

Please note that items that contain freon will not be collected. This includes air conditioners, refrigerators, and freezers. Batteries and items containing asbestos also will not be collected. Additionally, no items will be accepted that appear to be liquid, hazardous, contain chemicals, or are considered harmful in any way.

Hazardous Waste Drop-Off

When: Saturday, October 15^th

Where: Fahnestock State Park (Canopus Beach Parking Lot)

Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm

Putnam County is hosting a Hazardous Waste Drop-Off day on October 15^th. this event is open to Putnam County residents only and you must register in advance. For more information, including registration instructions, please click here.
