The Village of Cold Spring’s Residential Parking Program addresses a growing parking shortage for residents on streets around Main Street.  For program information, including a map of eligible streets, please visit coldspringny.gov.

Q:  What is the Residential Parking Program (RPP)?
A: This is a program developed by committed residents to address the growing shortage of parking for residents on streets around Main Street.  Permits are required for vehicles to park on residential streets around Main Street  on Friday – Sunday and holidays falling on Mondays.
 
Q: How much are Residential Parking Permits and how long are they valid? 
A: Permits are $50 each annually and are valid from January 1 to December 31. Permits purchased after January 31 will be prorated at $4.17/month for the remaining months of the year, including the month in which the permit is received. In 2024, applications that are received before March will be prorated at $41.70/permit.
 
Q:  Who is eligible to receive a permit?
A: Residents of the following streets are eligible to apply for a residential parking permit: Church St., Cross St., Fair St. (from Northern Ave. to Main St.), Fish St., Furnace St., Garden St., Haldane St., High St., Kemble Ave. (from Rock St. to Main St.), Main St. (from the River to 9D), Market St., New St., Northern Ave. (excluding Spring Brook Condominiums), North St., Railroad Ave., Rock St., Stone St., and West St. 
 
Q: How many permits can I have?
A: Each household (each single family residence, or each unit in a double family residence, multiple family residence, or apartment building) may apply for up to 2 permits. For instance, for a legal two-family dwelling, each unit is eligible to apply for 2 permits, for a total of up to 4 permits for that property.
