SANDBAGS 7.14.2023 6PM

Village crews spent their day in cleanup from last night's storm and in preparation for the expected rain coming in tonight and Sunday. Sandbags have been placed in strategic locations. Some residents living along Back Brook (which runs above ground along portions of Main, between Garden and Fair, and through Springbrook apartments), have requested sandbags as well. This is one of those times when we need neighbors to help neighbors--the Village simply does not have the people power to sandbag private property, and our teams need rest between storms. A load of sand is available to Village residents and business owners at the Highway Garage (49 Fair Street, behind Riverview Restaurant), along with bags, zip ties and shovels. Please help yourselves to sand -- three scoops per bag is a good amount, and make as many bags as you think you will need. First come, first serve. If you have a truck and are willing to help deliver sandbags, please reach out to neighbors who might need assistance.
