UPCOMING PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS

Villagers, there are several ongoing public works projects happening in the next two weeks (7/14-7/28). Please be aware and plan accordingly.

CONTINUATION OF REPAIRS ON FAIR STREET

After opening Fair Street between Main & Cross Streets for a sewer line repair, an additional necessary water pipe repair was identified. Work will continue into early in the week of 7/18. The opening is temporarily plated for safe passage of traffic while the soil in the area drains and proper repair can be conducted on a slightly larger area. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

TREE STUMP REMOVAL/SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT

Locations: NW corner of Parrott Street near Pine; west side of Garden Street; NW Corner of Northern & Church; Depot Square; Academy Street.

Sidewalks will be removed in these locations at one time so that all stump grinding can be done on the same day. These sidewalk stretches will be temporary closed until and while new concrete is laid. Please use caution when walking in these areas.

TUNNEL REPAIRS & REHAB

Active leaks to be addressed, walls power washed and sealed, then painting. Discussions are underway with a local artist to consider designs that will be less disrupted in the (inevitable) case of graffiti. The tunnel will be closed at certain points in this project; please plan accordingly to cross to the southbound tracks via the Metro North overpass.
