Water Restrictions Update

UPDATE 9/30/2022

Per the Water & Wastewater Superintendent, the water emergency is STILL IN PLACE. Although we've had a couple of rain events, they've not been enough to significantly add to our reserve supply. Across our five water impoundments, we are at about 60%. It is critical to conserve. This order applies to all users of the Village of Cold Spring water system, which include the Village of Nelsonville & a few properties in the Town of Philipstown. Restrictions include:

• no landscape or garden watering
• no car washing or structure washing
• no refilling pools or hot tubs, etc
• limit domestic use as much as possible
  • full dishwasher and laundry loads only
  • wash dishes from a dishpan, not with running water
  • turn off faucet while brushing teeth
  • reduce shower time (be speedy!)
• restaurants should not provide tap water unless requested
• business should use the minimum necessary to operate
