RFP- Emergency Interconnection To The Catskill Aqueduct
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals for performing the work herein described will be received by the Village Board of the Village of Cold Spring, New York, at the Office of the Village Clerk, 85 Main Street, Cold Spring, New York 10516 on January 12, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in said office.
The work consists of installing approximately 175 ft of ductile iron pipe located along Fishkill Road in the Village of Nelsonville (for Cold Spring). Other related work shall include the installation of a water meter, backflow prevention device, concrete pit, and fire hydrants all in accordance with the plans and specifications as directed by the Engineer and Village. NOTE: Pipe material and fittings must be available for delivery within 2 weeks of the bid date. See Special Conditions for additional information.
Contract Documents may be obtained at the above office of the Village Clerk, or from the Village website www.coldspringny.gov, on or after 2:00 P.M., November 23, 2022. If the Village website is used to obtain documents, the Village Clerk must be notified at vcsclerk@coldspringny.gov or (845) 265-3611 (ext. 1). A pre-bid meeting will be held at 201 Fishkill Road, Philipstown, NY on December 13, 2022 at 10:00 am.
Bids shall be made on the Proposal Forms, furnished with the Specifications and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Village, a certified cashier’s check, drawn on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Cold Spring, New York, and are to be held by the Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Village of Cold Spring as liquidated damages.
Bid Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to the Village of Cold Spring, 85 Main Street, Cold Spring, New York 10516 and endorsed “The Proposed Village of Cold Spring Emergency Interconnection to the Catskill Aqueduct, Cold Spring, New York.”
The Village of Cold Spring reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the Contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Village to do so.
